Favorite Performance: Jimmy Britton's basement circa 1974?
Back in Fairhope Pa., deep down in a musty basement you created a lifetime percusionist in me. I'm sure you don't remember me, but I was the kid from across the street that hung out everytime you guys practiced at Brittons. You kindly showed me what everything was for on my intial time in the thrown.

Remember the old red Chevy van? That's the first car I drove!
I thought you were 'cool' then and I think you epitomize 'cool' now!

The things I remember are you playing quicker than the eye could follow, Jimmy's Hammond 88 with a blaring Leslie. You guys were tight, the music was a bit beyond the norm and everyone was just having fun. I'm glad to have seen you way back in the day and follow your incredible journey that continues. I also deeply admire your work for the Lord. That is just fantastic!

As of yet, our paths have yet to cross again, but I hope it's possible. Keep your style Vinnie. It's workin!

Favorite Performance: Live in Oslo with Sting
Hey Vinnie,

On a first note I just want to say that your work is truly amazing. You've influenced me in so many ways, from style techniques. I've been playing drums ever since I can remember and I've never had any phisical problems. Since about two years ago I started getting pain in my right wrist (hats side) while I played. As time went by, the pain grew stronger to the point where I can barely play anymore. The doctor suspects it's tendanitis and offer the solution to stop playing.... Because of my overwelming passion for drums I can't do that so my questions to you is;

Have you ever gotten any pains of this kind in your wrists during a performance? If you have what was your solution? If you haven't, do you have any suggestions on playing techniques to get rid of this agonizing problem?

Thanks for your great telent!
Denis
